Workforce Development

Building the Talent that Powers American Microelectronics

The MMEC Workforce Development Ecosystem unites education, training, and industry partners to prepare the next generation of skilled talent driving U.S. microelectronics innovation. From high school classrooms to advanced university labs, MMEC connects learners with clear, hands-on pathways into one of the nation’s most critical and fast-growing technology sectors.

Through its national Workforce Development Network, MMEC collaborates with K-12 programs, trade schools, community colleges, and universities to align curricula with real industry needs. Members gain access to training resources, credential programs, internships, and apprenticeships that create direct on-ramps to careers in design, fabrication, test, packaging, and secure manufacturing.

By integrating education with real-world projects, MMEC ensures the microelectronics workforce is not only trained but mission-ready—equipped with the technical, security, and leadership skills to sustain the U.S. innovation advantage.
