Cornerstone (US Army Consortium – https://cornerstone.army.mil/) is soliciting fixed price proposals to advance workforce development across four critical capability areas:
1. Critical Minerals
2. Kinetics (Hypersonics, UAS, munitions)
3. Industrial Manufacturing Technologies (Castings and Forgings, Robotics/automation, Additive and Subtractive manufacturing, etc..)

4. Microelectronics

The goal is to strengthen the resilience and readiness of the defense industrial base (DIB).

“Persistent skill gaps, aging workforces, and increasing technical complexity in these sectors present significant risks to production capacity and innovation. The overall objective is to develop a pipeline of highly skilled talent through targeted training programs, public-private partnerships, and hands-on apprenticeship models aligned with emerging defense and advanced manufacturing needs.

The technical objectives of this prototype Project Call are to develop and implement targeted workforce development programs that address critical skill gaps across critical minerals, kinetics (including hypersonics, UAS, and munitions), industrial manufacturing technologies, and microelectronics. This includes designing modernized training curricula, expanding access to technical education, and establishing industry-aligned certification pathways through public-private partnerships and hands-on apprenticeship models. This includes K-12 outreach, engagement, and training programs that aim to build a sustainable pipeline of highly skilled talent capable of supporting advanced manufacturing and next-generation defense systems.”

Cornerstone Consortium is free to join and has several other opportunities that may be of interest.
If you are interested, you may pursue this independently or talk with MMEC to discuss opportunities to work together.
